Diamond Valley Basketball Staff Restructure
From the 17th of January 2022, DVBA will restructure certain roles and front office positions to give new opportunities, develop current staff, add responsibilities, and bring in new roles. It also means creating more efficiency within roles and clearer tasks within the structure.
There may be a period of overlap of responsibilities while recruiting and induction occurs.
The structure would look to allocate certain portfolios within the Operations Manager position to now not only oversee competitions but take on the VJBL administration as well. Matt Stewart, the previous Competitions Manager, will be promoted to the role as of the 17th of January.
The new role of Representative Basketball Administrator will take over the administration of Big V and NBL1 and in the off season assist in the administration of Junior Rep under the guidance of the Operations Manager. Ricky Cooksey, previously Game Day Assistant will take over this role on a part time basis.
To ensure competitions are resourced accordingly, a new part time role of Competitions Administrator will be created.
A new Referee Administration role will also be added, which allows for easier communication between referees and competitions. This role will work with the Referee Development and Education Officer around strategy and education planning for officiating.
