MENTORING

Introducing the DVBA Coach Mentor Program

The DVBA believes in developing all areas of our association, which includes our coaches. Without our coaches, we cannot get our teams on the court! Our mentoring program has been developed to provide access for junior coaches to be mentored by one of our highly experienced senior coaches for a period of six months. Below is an outline of the program for both the mentor and the mentee.

Mentors:

Register today to mentor the next generation of Eagles coaches and have a lasting impact on the association and players for years to come.

  • The DVBA Coach Mentor Program will select 16 Junior coaches (8 female and 8 male) aged 14-18 years of age and pair them up with an experienced Diamond Valley coach mentor.
  • The mentors will be responsible for two junior coaches each and will meet individually once a month to discuss all things coaching. The aimed topics will be provided by DVBA and meetings to take place via Zoom.

Mentor Requirements:

  •  Attend all individual and group Mentor sessions (4 hrs. per month)
  •  Be available for advice and guidance to the JCs when required
  •  Send monthly mentor reports to DV
