The In-augural Diamond Valley Basketball Association Pre-Season VJBL Hit-Out, was held over the Melbourne Cup long weekend from November 3rd to 5th and was a resounding success. This ‘Pre-season games’, organised by our association, featured three action-packed days of competition across three venues: Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre, Keilor Basketball, and Broadmeadows Basketball Stadiums. With the participation of 5 clubs, the Broadmeadows Broncos, Craigieburn Eagles, Eltham Wildcats, Keilor Thunder and of course our very own Diamond Valley Eagles, saw 127 teams participate in the event. With 245 games of high-quality basketball in under 72 hours.
Amidst the thrilling on-court action, we recognise and express our appreciation to all those who had a key role in making the event possible. A shout-out to the officials, coaches, team managers, and dedicated volunteers played pivotal roles in ensuring a seamless event. Their commitment, hard work, and passion were instrumental in creating a fantastic atmosphere, promoting sportsmanship, and upholding the spirit of healthy competition and our clubs’ values.
