Mia is a level C grade referee and has been reffing at DVBA for 2 years, “I love basketball and it’s my favourite sport” was Mia’s reason for taking action and becoming a referee. Counting to ref, Mia also enjoys playing basketball and has played for the last 5 years, taking a break this season, and is sure she will return to the court for the next.
A career highlight for Mia has been meeting a lot of new people and making new friends. The thing Mia finds most challenging is “not wanting to make a mistake” when reffing, Congratulations to Mia, our referee of the Month March 2024!
Fun facts – Mia enjoys watching Netflix to relax, and would love to return trip to Canada, where she holidayed last year. Her favourite player is Stephen Curry.
