At the Diamond Valley Basketball Association (DVBA), many of our partnerships are built on shared values, community connection and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. CNC Constructions is no exception they have been a partner of DVBA for the past three years and for CNC Constructions, supporting the Eagles is more than a sponsorship opportunity, it is a chance to give back to a club that has been part of the Black family’s journey.
CNC Constructions is led by brothers Nathan and Joel Black, and the business has grown into a highly respected family-owned Design + Build company, delivering custom homes, renovations and residential projects across Melbourne. Their reputation has been built on quality craftsmanship, strong relationships and a hands-on approach to every project.
While the business has evolved and expanded over the years, one thing has remained constant, a commitment to community.
For Director Nathan Black, the connection to DVBA began long before CNC Constructions became a partner of the Association.
“I played my junior basketball at Diamond Valley, so the club has always been a special place for me,” Nathan said.
“Some of my best memories growing up came from being part of a team, learning from great coaches and spending weekends at the stadium with family and friends. To now be in a position where CNC can support the club that gave me those experiences is something I’m really proud of.”
Today, that connection has come full circle, with Nathan’s daughter now proudly representing the Eagles.
“Seeing my daughter wearing the Eagles colours and enjoying the same club environment that I grew up in makes the partnership even more meaningful,” he said.
“Basketball teaches resilience, teamwork and commitment, qualities that stay with you well beyond sport.”
Those lessons have not only shaped Nathan’s sporting journey but have also influenced the way CNC Constructions operates.
“Success in construction is never about one person,” Nathan explained.
“Every project relies on a team of talented people working together towards a common goal. That’s no different to basketball. The best outcomes come from trust, communication and everyone playing their role.”
For Joel Black, supporting DVBA reflects the company’s broader philosophy of investing in organisations that create meaningful opportunities for local families.
