The season so far

After narrowly avoiding relegation in 2025 with a crucial relegation game victory, the team has transformed its fortunes in spectacular fashion during the 2026 season. Last year’s campaign ended with an even 11–11 record, leaving the team just one win outside finals contention, but it also provided the platform for a remarkable turnaround.

The off-season brought major challenges after the departure of eight players from the roster. Despite the significant changes, the coaches responded strongly through impressive recruitment and renewed depth across the squad. The results have exceeded expectations, with the team surging to a 13–2 record and claiming top spot on the league ladder.

Several standout individual achievements have further highlighted the success of the season. Amy List and Tahlia Leeson earned selection in the Big V All-Round Team, while Delaney Todd secured a commitment to play college basketball in the United States. Head Coach Michael Fortune was also recognised for the team’s outstanding form, receiving Coach of the Month honours in March.

Confidence is continuing to grow following a dominant 70-point victory last weekend. With seven games remaining before finals, the team is focused on maintaining momentum and consistency as it pushes toward the 2026 Big V State Champ Youth League Championship.
